Three & the Historical Society v2 No. 1

The new Three story. This represents a restart of the series, and there will be differences from Volume One.

My pencils tend to be structural, as I like to leave myself something to do going into the inking stage. So lighting and finish happen then.

I am sharing this story as unlettered pencils here, and the final story will be released commercially on this site.

Scott, I cannot wait to see more new Three and the Historical Society stuff. Count on me to buy a TPB worth of material.

  • I’m really liking the dynamic paneling and camera angles you’re using here; it’s got a modern filmic feel while also reminding me of the Aparo Batman stories in its action… can’t wait to see more!

I came to your site because of the Silverwolf/GMC stuff. I too wanted to be an artist when I was younger. But you actually did it. The pages above look better than stuff I’ve ever produced. I think I hate you now. I was curious from your rendering of the structural components of some of the car tires and such if you have ever studied mechanical drafting?

Just kidding about the hating you. Congrats on your success and all. Bookmarked, looking forward to more.

    Take care.

    • Hi Dayne -

Yes, I studied mechanical and architectural drafting all through junior high and high school, and this was when we were still hand drawing the work. I was initially intending to become an architect, but eventually design & illustration became more attractive.

  • I shall buy it for the beaver lady alone. :-)
